Bright Pink!

Last week, I painted my nails a bright pink and added a black/white matte glitter top coat.

Most Recent Nails

I'm really bad at remembering to take pictures of my nails with my real camera, but I do have a few of my most recent nail-painting adventures from my phone!

Okay, these first ones I did around Valentine's Day.  I think Valentine's Day is a silly holiday, but I love my rats and my rats love me, so I figured I would paint them on to my nails.

I'm not left-handed, so I had to keep the right hand extra simple.

Rat Girls!  On the left there's Aurora, Cloudy is in the middle and Coral is to the right.  They're cute little fluffballs that like to climb up the sleeves of my sweaters.

Winter Manicure.

I know we're (finally) in Spring, but I don't think posting a manicure from last Winter will hurt any.

This particular manicure features I Love Nail Polish's Up To Snow Good, but I also pictured Something About Merry.  I did a manicure with both, but failed to take pictures of the other one, oops!

I did a blue ombre and did two coats of Up To Snow Good on top.  I'm a sucker for turquoise anything, let me tell you, so I was in Heaven.

I love Barbra's polishes.  You can find them for sale here.

Two Halloween Manicures.

Holiday manicures are fun!  Last October, I did two different ones around Halloween because, let me tell you, I LOVE Halloween!

The first one was inspired by witchy colors -- purple, lime green and gold.

Fluorescent Rainbow!

Last summer, I used these four colors to make a fun, bright rainbow.

Sparkly Gold and Pink

This is Zoya Kimber with Funky Fingers Golden Coast on top.

It was sort of supposed to be a gradient, which I suppose it is.

I remember wearing it out later that same day, and one entire nail of polish popped off.  I need a better glitter topcoat so I don't have to use 2-3 coats!  XP

French Tips for Summer!

In case you haven't noticed, I love doing non-traditional French manicures.  I especially like using bright colors and sparkles whenever I can.   Here is one I did from last summer, which I think is one of my favorites.

Matte and Shiny

I used Zoya Savita, which is a beautiful, purple matte polish.  Then I just did top coat only over the tips.

Turquoise and Pink

This was just a quick one I did last year, probably around March.
I used Zoya Charla for the tips.

I added a thin line of who-knows-what?  Well, it's pink, anyway.

Leopard Print French Manicure

Gosh, this was one of my favorite manicures I ever did -- leopard print!

I used China Glaze In The Lime Light for a colorful French tip.

Then I did spots with OPI Fly (from the Nicki Minaj
collection).

I finished by doing tiny black lines around Fly with an Art Deco polish (really thin brush).
Then, of course, I added a topcoat.

Zebra and Purple

I guess we'll start off with this one.  It's from early last year, I'm thinking January.  I used white, black, silver, some Delia's polish (I can't remember the name for the life of me, but as you can see, it's purple) and Essie Luxeffects Shine of the Times.
I painted my whole nail white, then added the purple, black stripes, Shine of the Times, then a silver line for a clean separation of colors.  I think this was the first time I ever tried to do zebra print!

FInally... A Blog!

Okay, everyone, let's get the ball rolling!  I've wanted to do a nail polish blog for a few years now, but I could never figure out how to do it/put it off.  Hopefully now I can figure it out and learn as I go.  I'll start with some older manicures I've done (if I can find photos, that is).  Hooray!
